128 dollars to quit smoking??????
Random accomplishments like CO prevented, or imprecise accomplishments like "you are ALMOST getting good sleep" take away from the sense of accomplishment when I achieve a real milestone, e.g. my nicotine receptors returning to normal.
I stopped smoking. The app helped. What more could one ask?
eight years later still grateful for this app
Gives you a nice set of goals and reminds you what’s important. Really helped me!
Love this apps gentle accountability and reward system. It makes you feel at easy w check ins while also asking you to self-examine. Been smoke free for 5 months and this app is no small park of that.
After doing my research on FREE apps to help quit smoking, this kept showing up. Advertised as FREE! Is it free? NO!!! As soon as you put in your personal information it locks you in a paywall. Either pay $19.99/month or delete the app. DELETED!!
So this app is free to use if i install it?
They keep claiming there is a free version with functionality and then “in app purchases” to expand to the premium version. This is simply not true. I want to at least see what the “free version” offers before even signing up for a “free week” that then renews. I understand the need for developers, etc. and perhaps the app is truly worthwhile…but continuously stating there is a free tracking version when there no longer is is disingenuous at best and so I won’t even sign up for the “free preview” that autobills…
I gave them my information and then learned, after they had my email, that there is no free version of this app (or it was too hidden for me to see.) I’m already frustrated trying to quit lol why prey on me too?
I’ve only been using this app for a few days, but already I am more mindful of not only my smoking habits, but also other negative coping habits I am trying to kick. This is allowing me to be more intentional about replacing them with positive coping strategies. The app is engaging, user friendly, and makes the challenges realistic and rewarding to complete!
If you have to pay to use it, it is not free. Have to register and pay and then ask for a refund. Poor marketing.
I spend $20 a week on vaping, they also charge $20 a week to use the app. And they have a tracker on how much money you save? Doesn’t make any sense
I found this app very helpful in my quitting process. Thank you so much!
I canceled my trial and I noticed you were trying to charge my card for 1 month payment. I put a stop to payment because I canceled the 1 week trial before the end of the trial period and is in my expired subscription status which turned into active overnight? I do not want your service and you can not charge my card when I already put the status in expired, this is illegal and fraud!
No app will make you quit 100%, only you can do it for YOU. The app is helpful at keeping track of progress, IF you pay for premium…one you decide not to pay for premium you lose most of that bc they block it out. And it’s NOT cheap to pay for premium; might as well just keep paying for the cigarettes you’re trying to quit. Lol One thing that was an issue for me, they say there is a difference between a slip and a relapse. If you skip and keep going it doesn’t erase all the progress you’ve made, a relapse is starting over…yet every time I slipped and posted about it in the fb group, I was told to start the app all over again, which would mean losing ALL the progress I had made. Um no thanks; that’s not how it’s going to work. Over all, I’d say, save the money you don’t spend on cigs, save the money you’d spend on “premium” features and keep track on a calendar of your progress.
I found the health notifications especially gratifying and checked the app nearly every day within the first year or so. Highly recommend and I give my gratitude to the makers!
Thanks for helping out, i have stopped smoking for 50 days now, this app helped me a lot! Happy to be a non smoker.
Love this app it’s better than any other app I’ve used to help quitting
$90 is pretty expensive looks like it might actually be a decent app but $90 is the only way to find out if it is
Didn’t know this cost tried to log out and I think it enrolled me I don’t want to be charged
Edit: They really do care about their users! Thanks for replying to my review so quickly! I can’t wait to see the dates when the next update drops. This app would be perfect, 5 stars, if they only added dates for the achievements. I would like to know when exactly I will complete a certain achievement, not just the percentage.
I enjoy this app for the milestones, leveling up and unlocking new challenges. I also really enjoy the different breathing techniques to help with cravings as well as the motivational cards. However this app makes it way too easy to keep smoking, and puts way too much emphasis on negativity. In the daily check in diary portion it offers up 6 different emotions to choose from, all are negative nancy emotions except two, almost prompting you to feel bad during this journey. This app does a horrible job of priming you for quitting, essentially making you think that quitting smoking has to be a horrible negative experience. The truth: QUITTING SMOKING CAN BE ENJOYABLE and it has for me in spite of using this app daily. On top of that one of the options for dealing with a craving is to literally smoke a cigarette. It says “smoke with awareness”. What? No, don’t smoke with awareness, you’re trying to quit, how does smoking another cigarette help you quit? The daily stats are worthless unless you’re using it to track how many cigarettes you’re smoking or using nicotine replacement therapies, which IMO isn’t quitting.
i don’t understand why you have to unlock all these different sections. i’m having a craving to use tobacco, so i open this stop smoking app and it has me wait 24 hours before i can even access most of the app. doesn’t make sense. especially for those who need useful information to help with motivation to continue and to diminish cravings .. better off just downloading a game to mindlessly play for 30 minutes while the craving goes away.
Worth a one time charge of 6.99 on the App Store if it were available. A yearly subscription of $50 is stupid
This made quitting “almost” fun. I absolutely loved unlocking new achievements and learning about what is happening in my body and how my life has been positively affected by quitting smoking. It helps you to visualize the benefits. I would highly recommend this app to anyone wanting to quit!
I understand the game thinking rationale and in many ways it helps. What doesn’t help someone when they are quitting is taking away pieces of their progress and moving it into a “locked” feature that you all of a sudden now need to pay view again. Not cool.
Maybe I missed it but..... first day and I am disappointed that you don’t get all the perks of the app without paying a monthly subscription. I MIGHT pay for the monthly subscription because let’s be honest, $8.99/month to be successful in quitting will be WELL worth it.. To be continued..
Downloaded. Not free after one week. Dumb.
This app looks clean and is a great tracker, but it really doesn’t help you with the “how” to stop smoking. Sure you can track your mood...and get a shiny motivational quote...or maybe breathe, but that’s all the info it has on helping you quit - and none of it is helpful. If you “feel like smoking” the feature does nothing to steer you away. It just asks for your mood and says ok cya later. That was really surprising, as it completely leaves you on your own. I thought this app was supposed to help you quit? Are there really no techniques other than breathing baked in here? Pretty disappointing, as I was hoping for much much more since the monthly subscription is quite expensive. The free mode is plenty fine, but right now I feel like I need a refund.
Charges 54.00 a year. Ion like that.
I vape and only has options for smokers. Maybe are there other options cuz the title says “smoking and vaping” so idk. Let me know
I’m 40yrs old and have been smoking since I got out of the Navy in 2005. I decided to try this app because I have a 5yr old son. Since I had him when I was 35 I feel that I already limited the time that I get to be a part of his life. I don’t want to limit it further due to my smoking habit. I only started this app six days ago and since have only smoked three times instead of 38, which is what I would have my now. The app says that I added 6 more hours to my life expectancy, that is 6 more precious hours I can have with my son. Thank you! P.s. Put an option to rate and review in the app settings menu. I had to look up the app again in the App Store in order to add a review.
The setup for the app is so downright confusing it turned me off to the whole app. Try making it a better way to just sign up for the app.... it’s too confusing and It’s already deleted now. Bad design
If you really want to quit smoking this app will help you. Every time I want a cigarette I go to the app and check the numbers. It really helps in overcoming cravings.
Great stats but what about vaporizing nicotine?
Tried to log in and even subscribed. I unsubscribed and resubscribed. I was not able to log any gum. I configured and then repeatedly was reprompted to subscribe again. I tried to subscribe again and then would be directed to configure. An endless loop that did nothing.
No matter how many times you’ve tried, this app is a game-changer. It’s so human in its tone. Positive, allows for slip ups, and can send you kind little messages of accomplishments each step of the way. It’s amazing to have an app that tells you the money you’ve saved, cigs you haven’t smoked, health improvements that are going on in your body (many of which will surprise you) and more. Worth double the price.
Best
I wanted an app to help me quit smoking e-cigarettes. It’s not that hard to make a category for the thousands of teens/adults who smoke those and not cigarettes. Please if you fix this then i’ll subscribe if not no point
There’s a grammar error in the wellness page
I’ve been cigarette free for three days and I needed something to keep from caving. The information and tracking has been truly helpful! thank you
It won’t allow access to profile or diary or settings. Pretty worthless
Haven’t quit yet, just started. But it looks very nice. The motivation actually helps
Thanks to this app, I’m a “kwitter” and have never been more proud to say that! This app is amazing! It’s helped me quit cold turkey and stay done. I tried a few other apps but this one hasn’t compared to them. I find myself being excited to “earn new goals” and watch as the nasty stuff in my body leaves. It gives super helpful information about what’s happening within your body too. Which has helped to to stay a kwitter! If your serious about cutting cigarettes completely out of your life, TRY THIS APP!!!!!! You won’t regret it! I promise!
It helped me quit as a secondary tool and had enough achievements even as a free mode to keep me intrigued. I ended up paying for the premium and have not regretted it. It’s been 4 years and it is still on my phone and I use it whenever I start to feel the urge
Couldn’t even get past the signup page. Sign up button fell off the bottom of the screen so I couldn’t sign up.
